It also produces dystopias based on our worst fears: alien invasion and colonization erosion of freedom and privacy climate ruin. ![]() When posed in the West, the question produces imaginative elaborations on contemporary western opulence: cities in the sky colonies on Mars peaceful and adventurous intergalactic federations.
